Murray Capholm Privacy Policy

What information we collect when you register, why we collect it, who may receive it, how long we keep it and how to ask us to change or delete it.

Last updated: 3 August 2026. This policy explains how Murray Capholm handles personal information collected through murraycapholm.com.

Murray Capholm (we, us, our) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who may receive it, how long we keep it and how you can exercise your rights. It applies to this website and to the registration and enquiry process we operate through it.

Important context. Murray Capholm does not hold client money, does not process payments and does not operate trading accounts. We therefore do not collect card numbers, bank account details, tax file numbers or identity documents on this website. If any page or message appears to ask you for those things in our name, do not provide them — check our official domains page first.

1. What we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details: first name, last name, email address and mobile telephone number, submitted through our registration form.
  • Enquiry details: the subject and content of any message you send us through the contact form or by email.
  • Consent records: the fact that you ticked the box confirming you had read our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, and the date and time of that submission.
  • Preferences: for example, if you tell us you would prefer email contact only.

Information collected automatically

  • IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, operating system.
  • Pages viewed, time on page, referring website and the source or campaign parameter in the link you arrived through.
  • Analytics identifiers set by cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy for detail.

We do not ask for, and would prefer you did not send us, sensitive information such as health information, government identifiers, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions or membership details.

2. Why we collect it

  • To respond to your enquiry and to contact you about the registration you submitted.
  • To work out which services are relevant to your enquiry and to your location.
  • To introduce you, where that is the purpose of your enquiry, to a relevant participating provider.

  • To analyse how the website is used so that we can improve its clarity and performance.
  • To keep records of consent and communications, and to meet legal or regulatory obligations.

3. Are my registration details passed to a service provider?

They may be. If the purpose of your enquiry is to be introduced to a service, we may pass your name and contact details to the relevant participating provider so that the provider can contact you and, if you choose to proceed, complete its own onboarding. We will make clear which provider is involved when we introduce it.

Once a provider holds your information, that provider becomes responsible for it and its own privacy policy applies in addition to ours. We recommend you read it before you proceed.

You can also email us at any time and ask us to stop marketing contact, and we will action it. If you ask us to stop calling you, we will use email only.

6. Cookies, analytics and attribution

This website uses cookies and similar technologies for essential functions such as form security, and for analytics that tell us which pages are read and where visitors arrived from. Some links to this website carry a source parameter so that we can understand which page or campaign a registration came from. Our Cookie Policy explains the categories in more detail and how to control them in your browser.

7. How we handle and protect information

We aim to handle personal information in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles. We restrict access to enquiry records to people who need it, we use reputable suppliers, and we transmit this website over an encrypted connection. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed completely secure, so we do not claim that it can be.

8. How long we keep information

We keep enquiry and registration records only for as long as we need them for the purpose described above, or for as long as we are required to keep them by law. Where we no longer need a record and are not required to keep it, we delete it or de-identify it. If you ask us to delete your details and there is no legal reason to keep them, we will.

9. Your rights

  • Access: ask what personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: ask us to correct information that is wrong or out of date.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can escalate the matter to the relevant privacy regulator in your country. In Australia, that is the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
